Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Operator to manage the daily operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the STP facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Operation & Monitoring:
- Operate and monitor the sewage treatment plant equipment, including pumps, filters, blowers, and control panels.
- Record and analyze data from gauges, meters, and control panels to ensure optimal performance.
Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of STP machinery and systems.
- Report any faults, malfunctions, or required repairs to the maintenance team.
Testing & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of plant performance, water quality, and operational activities.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports to management or regulatory authorities.
Compliance & Safety:
- Manage chemicals and materials safely, maintaining proper storage and usage procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or unusual conditions at the plant.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Diploma or certification in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a WWTP (ETP/STP) operator or in a similar role.
Work Conditions:
- Work schedule may include shifts, weekends, and holidays.
